The man and his fiancée were at Heathrow Airport (London, UK) on August 11 to fly to Rome (Italy) for their wedding. Just before the flight took off, the girl pretended to go to the restroom and then disappeared with all the luggage and $6,000 in cash.
According to a witness at the airport, the couple had not known each other for long but had decided to get married. They planned to hold the wedding in Rome: “The man showed clear signs of frustration. It seems they had not known each other for long, but he had developed strong feelings for her. Not knowing whether she had left the airport or flown to another country, he had to call the police. The man was even unsure if the name he knew was actually his fiancée’s real name.”
The London Police Department has received the report. A representative of the authorities stated that after being notified that someone had lost all personal belongings and cash, police were dispatched to the check-in area at Heathrow Airport.
Currently, the police have not identified the true identity and whereabouts of the woman.
