Glaciered is a sci-fi action game set 65 million years in the future, allowing you to transform into a strange bird species called Tuai, which can glide through the ocean thanks to a special propulsion mechanism. This bird has two jet exhausts under its tail and two large openings on its chest, resembling the air intakes of a jet fighter. With this “engine block,” this water bird can move quickly and agilely through the waters.
The game trailer shows that you can glide over lush green seagrass, admire countless species of the ocean, and even battle colossal sea monsters like sharks and marine reptiles.
Tuai can fight with its wings using sharp fin-like rays that resemble crystal. Not only close-range, but this bird can also launch “shurikens” at targets to inflict damage. With a backdrop of the deep ocean full of wonders and an action-packed gameplay mechanism, this game promises to deliver an experience that blends the two popular games, Abzû and Bayonetta.

According to the description on the Steam page, Tuai is a super-intelligent creature evolved from birds. Though small, with its superpowers and intelligence, it will “dominate” Earth just as its bird ancestors (the dinosaurs) did in the past. The trailer also shows this creature on a mission to stop an evil force called Everwinter that threatens the balance of the ecosystem. The release date of the game has not yet been announced, but it’s highly likely to be in 2023.
