Nowadays, streaming has become one of the familiar professions and is no longer a playground exclusively for men as it once was. However, just recently, a male streamer unexpectedly made a comment that the online community deemed quite inappropriate, asserting: “Most female playduos are ‘selling their bodies’“.
It is known that this male streamer is named D.D.L, and in one of his recent videos, while browsing the profiles of female gamers to hire a playduo partner, he unexpectedly made a highly negative remark about his female colleagues: “I swear to you, there are no decent female playduos left… If you find one, I’ll give you 1 billion. Female playduos are no longer pure, they’ve all lost it. Many of them do… a lot. Those who can’t make it outside come here to be playduos and still get rich“.
Not stopping there, in a chat with his manager, this streamer continued to launch attacks on his female colleagues, claiming that most female playduos are uneducated girls and mostly remain single with the primary goal of attracting wealthy men to donate and earn money. He suggested that if someone were educated, they wouldn’t need to be a playduo.
Unsurprisingly, with such controversial remarks, it’s not hard to understand why many, including the female playduo community, took to the streamer’s personal page and YouTube channel to counter his rhetoric and criticize his very negative way of speaking. However, in response, the main character seemed to show no desire to apologize; rather, he appeared to challenge critics and take pleasure in the increased interactions on his personal page.
The incident quickly spread across various forums and social media, with the majority expressing outrage at the provocative and inappropriate statements made by the streamer. Even a veteran streamer like Độ Mixi could not contain his anger upon hearing about the incident: “This society has many types of people, many types you can’t even imagine… I hate those who speak cruelly and demean women“.
