In the current 4.0 era, many game shows and reality television programs have sprung up like mushrooms. Therefore, finding a solid foothold in the hearts of the audience is a challenging puzzle that producers must wrestle with to find solutions. Whether by accident or design, some programs have embedded many sensitive moments that are not suitable for broadcast, especially for young viewers who are not old enough to watch.
“Glamour Queen” was created to seek representatives for the beauty of the new generation of women: feminine – intelligent – confident – dynamic to participate in artistic activities in Vietnam and Japan.
Perhaps because the title contains the word “glamorous,” the program decided to fully exploit the contestants’ sensuality by having them wear bikinis in many episodes. From the casting round to the posing challenges at the pool and catwalking on the beach, the girls showcased their physical advantages. Some outfits were considered quite revealing and not suitable for many viewers watching on screen, especially children.
The most controversial moment was in episode 14, where the top 5 were taken to Japan for a posing challenge in bikinis. Many opinions suggested that allowing contestants to wear revealing outfits and pose too suggestively was inappropriate for broadcast.
Heart’s Choice
Previously controversial for its format that turned players into powerful kings selecting beautiful women as if in ancient feudal times during the final decision, “Heart’s Choice” created even more shock by inviting hot girl Mon 2K with her ample bosom to participate.
In episode 23, Mon 2K donned a mask of the character Cam and the pseudonym Ly Ly, choosing to couple with magician Trần Nguyên. They shared a passionate kiss on stage and held hands for a romantic date complete with candles and champagne to begin a new love. Their kiss was deemed too steamy and inappropriate for broadcast.

“Love Star” is a dating show that premiered to the audience in 2018. In each episode, a boy or girl is given the opportunity to approach 5 potential dating subjects. However, it was not until season 2 that the program gained much attention from the online community in a rather… negative way. Following “Love Star,” viewers were continuously “on edge” due to the somewhat sensitive actions and the drama created by the contestants.
