As the launch date for the new generation Bphone approaches, BKAV CEO Nguyễn Tử Quảng has been revealing more information about this model. Recently, the CEO confirmed that the upcoming generation of Bphones will not have just one, but four different versions.
Specifically, the names of the four models that BKAV is about to unveil are Bphone B40, Bphone B60, Bphone B86, and Bphone B86s. Based on the naming convention, it is likely that Bphone B40 and Bphone B60 will fall into the budget and mid-range segments, while Bphone B86 will be in the near-premium category. Meanwhile, Bphone B86s will be a special version of the B86.

To explain the number “86”, although Mr. Quảng did not directly confirm, he mentioned “I like many people’s explanations, 1986 is the year that marked the renewal of the country.”
Mr. Quảng also humorously stated: “There is no B52, okay?”
According to the initial plan, the new generation Bphone is set to be launched on April 7 through an online event, without any guests. However, Mr. Quảng mentioned that the plan for this event “will also depend on our partner, Vietnam Television, so we will have to wait for a decision from VTV.”
Nevertheless, the BKAV CEO indicated that he does not place too much importance on the launch timing, as “Bphone has been out since I first posted on Facebook. The launch event is just a highlight of the occasion, but when it happens is not too important.”
