Free Fire’s OB21 Just Launched, The Number of Hacked Accounts Soars to Huge Numbers, Hackers Remain Confident in Their ‘Invincibility’

Despite the recent launch of Free Fire's OB21 version, the hacking situation has become extremely serious, with tens of thousands of accounts being locked.

Free Fire has always always been famous as a “hack-prone” game. To be fair, any online game that launches will have hacks; they seem to be a phenomenon that coexists with these games. Especially for eSports titles like Free Fire and PUBG Mobile, hacking issues are even more prevalent, with increasingly unpredictable variations.

Just at the beginning of April, Free Fire’s Vietnam server announced the locking of over 10,000 hacked accounts in just 2 months. This number is still insignificant compared to Free Fire on the Indian server, where Garena recently announced that 50,000 accounts in this country were locked due to hacking and cheating. These hacks occurred between April 8 and April 21, 2020. This means that from version OB20 to OB21, hacking remains a significant issue for Garena and Free Fire players.

Despite the numerous account locks, the issue of hacking and cheating continues to be a serious problem for Free Fire players. There are many groups and clips on Google and Facebook related to hacking and cheating guides for Free Fire. In fact, even the seemingly unbeatable iOS platform has versions that can be hacked.

This is truly a headache not only for players but also for Garena, as the hacking phenomenon for this game has been operating very openly, even being posted directly in the official Free Fire group with a lot of views and shares.

Returning to the 50,000 accounts locked on the Indian server, Garena further announced that there are players who lost their accounts because they actually shared their passwords with others who ultimately used hacks without the owners’ knowledge. Garena also reassured players in India that “We do not recommend players use third-party software or hacks to avoid losing their accounts for any reason. We continuously update our anti-hack tools.

Additionally, we also record cases where account owners share and disclose their account information to friends and strangers who have used hacks. We hope that players can be more careful in protecting their accounts.

For a developing and clean gaming community, we truly hope that players will be more conscious and can create their own milestones in Free Fire. We assure that achievements gained will mean much more than those obtained through cheating.”.

However, how Free Fire’s anti-hack tools work is “anyone’s guess” as many players still complain daily about encountering too many hacks in matches. Hopefully, in the near future, the issue of hacking in Free Fire will decrease so that players can truly have a fair and clean gaming environment.
