Apple is conducting surveys to assess user interest in the accessories that come with the iPhone 12. Apple wants to know if iPhone 12 users actually use the lightning to USB-C charging cable included in the box.
Earlier in early 2020, Apple also conducted a similar survey regarding the charger included in the iPhone box. And as we all know, Apple removed the charger and EarPods from the boxes of the iPhone 12.

According to a report from 9to5Mac, iPhone 12 users are currently receiving survey questions from Apple about whether they actually use the accessories included in the box. This includes the charging cable, SIM eject tool, and Apple stickers.
This means that Apple may be considering removing both the charging cable and other accessories from iPhone boxes. However, if this is indeed true, users are sure to strongly oppose it. While old chargers can still be used, iPhone charging cables can wear out, break, or fray quickly, making it difficult to reuse old cables.
Apple also asked iPhone 12 users about their Face ID experience. It is likely that in the future, Apple will use under-display Touch ID technology, which could replace Face ID.
