A series of theories about Vanh Leg’s mysterious disappearance emerged, from going to military service, getting married to more unpleasant ones like going to jail or even having… died.

From hot YouTuber to “super diver”
I probably don’t need to say it, but two years ago I decided to temporarily stop producing videos on YouTube and go into “hiding.” I know that not only at that time but even later, everyone, especially Vanh Leg’s fans, found this decision perplexing and questioned it.
The real reason is something I embedded in the video YouTube Academy but it seems many people still didn’t understand. At that time, I paused to balance my creative emotions after a long period (about 6 years) of being overwhelmed with work. Meanwhile, Vanh Leg’s channel faced some copyright issues with YouTube, which led to the decision.

Of course, pausing in the midst of a smooth work phase, or as people say, at the peak, I also spent a lot of time thinking and hesitating. But actually, I only paused for about a year (from 2019 to early 2020) and YouTube Academy was something I started producing back in February 2020. So in reality, I wasn’t as deep down as people thought.
The most dramatic part may not be my disappearance but the rumors surrounding it. Perhaps because I “vanished” without a word to the online community, people made up stories to find an answer to the question: “Where is Vanh Leg?”.
I heard everything and know everything. But those speculations often lacked basis and came from fake accounts on social media that specialize in posting shock-inducing and curiosity-provoking information to gain views. At first, I found it quite funny since they were just harmless statements like Vanh Leg joined the army or Vanh Leg got married… Later, the rumors became exaggerated and more negative, such as Vanh Leg going to jail or even Vanh Leg having… died, and it was no longer amusing. It turned into malicious rumors, which made me angry.
The “King of Parody Music” Comeback
I decided to make my comeback at this time for no particular reason or purpose. It was simply because my product had officially completed all stages after nearly a year of production. Moreover, two years is quite a long time, and it was about time I provided the clearest and earliest answer to the online community, especially my fans, regarding my sudden “disappearance” and the rumors.
People often say Vanh Leg disappeared and then Vanh Leg made a comeback, but I was still there. I still kept the habit of watching YouTube daily, still followed the developments of the YouTube community during the two years I was absent. And I felt that two years ago, YouTube seemed a bit more “peaceful” compared to now. However, on the contrary, there are now many more quality YouTube channels with better content investment.
Surely many people were also impressed by the appearance of Độ Mixi in my comeback project. In fact, I really enjoy watching Độ’s streams; if I had to say it correctly, I am also a loyal member of the MixiGaming Tribe. So from the beginning, I planned to invite Độ to play himself in the video. But later, due to the rushed production schedule, I couldn’t arrange it, so I had to choose to have someone else cosplay Độ. In the future, if I have the chance to collaborate with Độ Mixi, I would definitely be very happy. If possible, I will try to invite the real Độ to appear in my product instead of using a “fake” Độ anymore. *laugh*
“Being a YouTuber without following YouTube’s rules will lead to a purge”
For me (and perhaps for many people), YouTube is a great platform for young people and young content creators to have the opportunity to grow and achieve their desire to be recognized by many. Currently, in Vietnam, there are many young and talented YouTubers. They are doing their job very well while also helping the content creation community in Vietnam to develop further. Those are the true YouTubers.
Conversely, many people only see YouTube as a tool to gain fame, leading them to disregard creating negative and harmful content to gain views. This should not be the case and will tarnish the reputation of the YouTube community. Not to mention that such content can affect children – viewers who cannot yet distinguish right from wrong. However, YouTube has its own rules; those who do not comply with these laws and regulations will be purged and eliminated over time.
As for myself, I am also working on some personal projects that I have been nurturing for a long time. Although I cannot disclose them yet, I promise there will be many interesting and surprising things coming soon. I hope the audience will still look forward to my upcoming products.
