In a conversation with us on the morning of February 8, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Head of the Health Department of Nam Tu Liem District reported that after the detection of a new case, the functional agencies had proceeded to quarantine the Garden Hill apartment building, 99 Tran Binh (My Dinh, Nam Tu Liem). At the same time, they performed disinfection and took Covid-19 test samples for about 1200 residents in the building.
“On the morning of January 8, units coordinated to implement epidemic prevention measures, disinfecting the entire apartment building and taking samples for testing. However, some residents here had returned to their hometown to celebrate Tet earlier,” Mr. Tuan said.

Explaining the case of Patient N.T.K.A being identified as F1 but not being quarantined, after having contact with Patient 1722 at the entrance of the Garden Hill building on January 26, Mr. Tuan stated that this person had provided inconsistent and untruthful information.
“After having contact with Patient 1722, this person did not report truthfully to the health authorities. Even Patient 1722, after having contact with the above girl, also did not report truthfully, leading to the case of missing F1s,” Mr. Tuan added.
Patient N.T.K.A had contact with Patient 1722 (the wife of Patient 1694 – a 41-year-old patient, residing at 479 Phuc Dien, Xuan Phuong Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, a soldier at Z153 factory in Dong Anh town) on January 26 at the entrance of the building. On February 5, the patient exhibited symptoms of fever, cough, and sore throat. On the afternoon of February 6, the patient called 115 of the Hanoi CDC for advice, and was reported back to Nam Tu Liem for testing, resulting in a positive outcome on February 7.
The patient has had contact with F0 for 12 days now. According to the infection cycle, this patient has been able to transmit the virus within the past 10 days.
On the morning of February 8, the police conducted barrier measures, set up fences, and quarantined the above apartment building. All residents are required to stay out of this apartment area.
