Donations are considered one of the most popular cultures in the streaming community worldwide. Initially, this act was often a way to express affection, encourage, and somewhat support streamers—those who provide entertainment and relaxation moments for their followers online. However, over time, this habit has gradually mutated, and now, many fans even use donations as a way to set challenges and command streamers to perform actions, sometimes quite bizarre ones. Recently, a streamer caused a sensation in the online community when he earned up to 200 million in just 5 minutes, but the price he paid was not cheap.

The main character in our story is Cheol-gu, a streamer who is not particularly famous. During his most recent livestream with his wife, Cheol-gu was astonished to receive a comment from a viewer, assigning him the task of soaking in a bathtub filled with ice water outdoors for 5 minutes. The reward for this task would be a donation gift of up to 100,000 balloons (equivalent to 10 million won ~ 200 million VND). Conversely, if Cheol-gu failed, he and his wife would have to shave their eyebrows live on stream.

Of course, it was winter, and the outdoor temperature had even dropped below freezing with snow falling. However, after some consideration, the figure of 200 million seemed too tempting. In the end, Cheol-gu prepared himself a bathtub filled with ice and submerged himself in it. At first, he appeared strong and did not feel cold, but over time, this demeanor did not last long. In fact, by the end of the third minute, his hands were almost clenched tightly in determination.
Ultimately, the challenge was completed, and the way he triumphantly returned to the livestream made everyone feel sorry for him. Acting tough, he even refused a blanket, but just looking at his pale, discolored lips was enough to understand how cold he was. Fortunately for Cheol-gu, the fan kept their promise, and the donation of 200 million VND was sent right after.

However, the actions of this streamer have raised concerns about his health among many people. Some even believe that undermining one’s health for donation money and acting like a subordinate to viewers is certainly not a good precedent for streamers.
