Launched in October 2020, the PS5 quickly became the most sought-after gaming console in the world today. Its design has become a topic of memes and jokes, with many fans comparing the futuristic design of the PS5 to a Stormtrooper robot or the Yu-Gi-Oh character Seto Kaiba. When Sony officially revealed the PS5, many gamers were not particularly impressed with its sleek, futuristic look, which is starkly different from the PS4. However, most gamers are more concerned about the hardware and processing capabilities of the PS5.

Anucha Sangchart is a Thai artist currently living and working in the capital city of Bangkok. He owns a fan page called Lowcostcosplay on Facebook with over 4.8 million followers, specializing in posting cosplay photos that receive tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of interactions from the online community. Each photo he posts on social media makes people “laugh until they cry” due to its impressive nature. In his latest work, Lowcostcosplay shared how he transformed his newly bought PS5 into the Yu-Gi-Oh character Seto Kaiba.

Specifically, Lowcostcosplay posted a photo showing how he turned his new PS5 into the outfit of the Yu-Gi-Oh character Seto Kaiba. Using a design with a white body and blue accents on the sides, it made Lowcostcosplay look like the character Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh. For gamers who may not know, Seto Kaiba starts the Yu-Gi-Oh series as the antagonist and rival of the main character Yugi Moto.
While many gamers might be upset thinking that Lowcostcosplay – the owner of one of the few PS5s sold recently – is not using the PS5 for gaming, but rather for cosplay purposes. However, there are also many who support him, as through this very simple artistic perspective, Lowcostcosplay has simply made the PS5 blend into his own piece of art.

This even marks another exemplary case of the intersection between video games, anime, cosplayers, and social media. Currently, the post has garnered over 150,000 likes on Instagram just one day after it was posted and has been shared across various gaming communities.
