After a series of continuous scandals and being determinedly boycotted by the online community, Duy Nến continues to maintain his culinary channel but has been less active in reviewing food, instead opting to create dishes and provide cooking tutorials. However, due to the perceived lack of “credibility” of the YouTuber, the video channel is no longer as popular as before, with views significantly dropping.
Seemingly to “attack” and expand into another media channel, recently, Duy Nến has tried his hand at TikTok. Alongside food-related content, he has also created more entertaining content that viewers have criticized as “over the top,” “fake,” and inappropriate for his own age group.

Notably, a recent video featuring a magic trick that makes a pencil disappear has sparked outrage among netizens, who are concerned about the safety of children who might watch this content.
Specifically, the magic trick involves a pencil with a sharp tip. After pointing the pencil straight between his eyebrows, Duy Nến opens his eyes wide, looks directly at the pencil, and makes it disappear.
The magic trick is not particularly impressive, and it’s easy to recognize that the editing skills are not polished, yet it has drawn intense reactions from netizens due to the actual danger if young children mimic and try to replicate it.
The new content may seem somewhat confusing and nonsensical at first glance, but it can actually pose a danger, especially to children.

Previously, Duy Nến gained attention for his food review clips, however, whether by coincidence or design, these clips always contained many gaps in knowledge and word usage. This male YouTuber was also fined 12.5 million VND by the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications for “violating regulations on electronic information pages by providing false information” when he posted a clip titled “Hanoi Streets Clear on First Day of Lockdown.”
