Today (December 19), BKAV will officially launch the new generation of Bphone, which includes the A series models in the affordable and mid-range price segments.
These models are produced under the ODM model, meaning that BKAV will not design and manufacture them itself but will entrust another partner. BKAV will be responsible for software development and quality testing.
Since the Bphone A series does not offer anything new in terms of hardware, BKAV has focused on advertising the software features of the device. Yesterday, BKAV CEO Nguyễn Tử Quảng made a post on social media discussing the anti-theft feature of the Bphone A series, a feature integrated into the BKAV Mobile Security (BMS) software.

Mr. Quảng affirmed that the Bphone A series is “impenetrable”, as wrongdoers cannot use or control the device even after performing a factory reset.
“By DEEPLY INTEGRATING various security technologies into the hardware of the device, the Bphones become impenetrable. A wrongdoer holding the device cannot use it or control it even after a factory reset.
Therefore, in the event that the device is lost, if the owner commands a lock, the device essentially turns into a ‘paperweight’, and cannot be sold to stores that deal in stolen goods. At that point, the only way is to contact the owner to return the device.”, BKAV’s CEO wrote on social media.
Not stopping there, Mr. Quảng confidently stated that this feature is “world-class premium”, “no other company has it”, “even when buying flagship devices costing up to a thousand dollars, one cannot get it.”
When a user mentioned that Apple and Samsung have similar features, Mr. Quảng asserted: “In terms of security, Apple or Samsung cannot compare to BKAV, so please have confidence in our Vietnamese companies.”
Moreover, BKAV’s CEO believes that this feature of the Bphone helps people become… more humane. Specifically, a user pointed out that if a wrongdoer cannot unlock the stolen phone, they will throw it away instead of contacting the owner to return it.
Mr. Quảng responded as follows:
“When it cannot be used, there are two types of people. The first type has the kindness to contact and return it. The second type contacts to seek a ransom. Devices from other manufacturers cannot be fully locked, so the person holding it may succumb to greed, keeping it to use or sell for money. Thus, thanks to Bphone technology, we help people become more humane, right?“

Previously, BKAV reported that up to 89% of Bphone customers were able to recover their lost devices. However, BKAV did not disclose how they obtained this figure.
The launch event for the Bphone A series will take place at 6 PM on December 19 and will be livestreamed by BKAV on various platforms. In addition to CEO Nguyễn Tử Quảng, the event will feature comedian Xuân Bắc.
