ViewSonic has recently officially introduced its latest EdTech solution called “UNIVERSE by ViewSonic”. The beta version has been officially launched with a vibrant 3D virtual learning environment. By creating a Metaverse, teachers and students can meet in a digital space from any location in the real world.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted all aspects of socio-economic life globally, including the education sector. However, thanks to the application of information technology and digital transformation in education, it has become a useful tool to help teaching and learning overcome barriers of space and time,” said Mr. Kevin Chu – Development Director of the UNIVERSE project at ViewSonic.
“With the goal of being a leading EdTech solutions company, we have created a digital learning platform that enhances the experience and brings joy and excitement to students in every lesson. UNIVERSE by ViewSonic is a virtual reality project aimed at allowing students to freely explore, ask questions through experiences in an immersive 3D environment, while teachers can build virtual landscapes based on lesson plans, creating excitement for students instead of just reading from books.”

“UNIVERSE by ViewSonic” offers many interactive spaces for teachers and students such as classrooms, auditoriums, and common areas. Students can freely express themselves and interact with other students from around the world through personalized avatars. The control, communication, and emotional tools are all designed to be intuitive and easy to use, providing a lifelike experience.

For teachers, UNIVERSE by ViewSonic provides interactive teaching tools such as screen sharing, presentations with teacher cameras, and quiz features to meet various teaching needs. Meanwhile, students can join common spaces to learn together or can be arranged into separate classrooms for group discussions and activities.

Finally, there are classroom management features, allowing teachers to switch between teaching and discussion modes, combined with real-time reporting data automatically compiled by the system on classroom information, interaction levels, and student focus so that teachers can take actions to enhance the quality of the lesson immediately.
The official version of UNIVERSE by ViewSonic is expected to be launched in 2023.
