Participating in the Miss Fabulous International 2022 competition in Chiang Mai (Thailand), ‘Fried Egg Girl’ Trần Thanh Tâm attracted a lot of attention from the online community. Previously, the news that she was representing Vietnam at the Miss International pageant received quite a few mixed opinions. Many people believed that the TikToker was not suitable and did not possess enough qualities to compete in the beauty contest. However, she remained determined and worked hard with the hope of bringing the crown back to her homeland.
Throughout her journey in the competition, Trần Thanh Tâm received quite a bit of attention. Although she had prepared carefully from the catwalk to the Q&A portion, unfortunately, she did not make it to the Top 5 in the end. Moreover, Thanh Tâm encountered a mishap while catwalking during the final night on December 15.
Accordingly, during the opening group performance, the ‘Fried Egg Girl’ twisted her ankle and collapsed on stage. The sudden fall caught Thanh Tâm off guard, and she struggled for a moment before getting up. Despite being quite awkward, she still tried to complete her performance.
This is not the first time Thanh Tâm has encountered a mishap on the catwalk. Her previous performances were also noted by many as lacking confidence, and she still struggled to walk steadily in high heels. People even commented that her fall during the final night was eerily similar to the time Trần Thanh Tâm ‘face-planted’ during her first attempt at modeling.
At that time, the ‘Fried Egg Girl’ made many people suspect that she intentionally fell to create drama and steal the spotlight at the event. However, Thanh Tâm explained that the stage was quite slippery and unfortunate issues with her high heels caused her to twist her ankle and accidentally trip, rather than attempting to create a situation to attract attention. Nevertheless, her performance at that time still generated a lot of discussion from the online community.
Or at the press conference announcing the Top 30 finalists of Miss Fitness Vietnam – Vietnam Sports Queen 2022, Trần Thanh Tâm also had a less-than-smooth catwalk in front of a large audience. When stepping onto the stage, she immediately stumbled and almost fell. It is worth mentioning that many people believed Thanh Tâm was wearing a relatively easy-to-walk-in pair of shoes but still ‘face-planted’, indicating that her catwalking skills are still very limited and she does not have enough experience to become a beauty queen or participate in beauty contests.
Apart from catwalking, Thanh Tâm’s Q&A and foreign language segment at Miss Fabulous International 2022 also became a topic of much discussion. Before heading to Thailand for the competition, she shared that she had been honing her English skills and had several times showcased her language abilities in clips. This made everyone look forward to her performance on the important night.
However, in the Q&A segment of the final night, Trần Thanh Tâm chose to answer in her native language and asked for an interpreter’s assistance. Many people expressed disappointment because not only did she fail to showcase her foreign language skills, but her response was also not very smooth or fluent. In the end, Trần Thanh Tâm missed out on the Top 5 of the competition with 9 contestants. Previously, the organizing committee announced that there were 11 contestants, but later 2 dropped out without explanation.
