Mr Pips Arrested
TikToker Mr Pips, whose real name is Phó Đức Nam (30 years old), was recently arrested in a case involving a fraud ring led by high-tech methods operating in virtual spaces and using fake accounts. The incident has caused a stir in the online community.

Previously, this young man was a well-known TikToker with thousands of followers and tens of thousands of likes. Specifically, the videos shared by this TikToker included successful investment experiences, a “luxury” lifestyle, opulence, and wealth. From there, this young man called for and guided people to invest in order to profit.
It is reported that more than 120 land use certificates, hundreds of kilograms of gold, dozens of supercars, 59 luxury brand watches, as well as cash, USD, handbags, diamonds, and more have been seized from this famous TikToker. The estimated total value exceeds 5.2 trillion VND.

Mr Pips’ Testimony
Mr Pips stated: “When people see beautiful houses and luxury cars, it builds trust for the viewer. The viewers will be drawn to these images and can easily be lured into participating.”

Additionally, Trịnh Xuân Sơn, a member of Mr Pips’ team, also testified: “When we invite customers into the group, we create multiple fake accounts talking to each other, saying this platform is good, there are profits, you can withdraw money, or there are people to assist. We use those fake accounts to communicate within the group to gain the trust of the customers.”
It is known that the group has established 44 offices nationwide. In Hanoi alone, there are over 1,900 employees managing and conducting professional business activities, with strict division of tasks. As a result, the group has illicitly profited from nearly 2,700 victims.
