The Pokémon Company has revealed to fans that they will soon be able to board a Pikachu-themed jet (also known as Pikachu Jet BC) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise. And fans from other countries are likely feeling quite disappointed that their beloved electric type is only taking to the skies in Japan. Although only “Pokémon” fans in Japan will get to experience the specially designed Pikachu plane, many similar aircraft are still being rolled out. If you are in Singapore, get excited because another “Pokémon” themed jet is in the works for the budget airline Scoot.

According to IGN, Pikachu Jet BC is a collaborative effort between The Pokémon Company and Skymark, a low-cost airline in Japan. Both the exterior and interior of Pikachu Jet BC are decorated with a celebratory Pikachu theme.

The yellow exterior of the plane is highlighted by a cheerful flock of Pikachu holding a bunch of balloon flowers. The blue tail of the aircraft features the “Pokémon” logo and a large yellow star, along with scattered Pokéball designs across the plane. The interior is fully outfitted with Pikachu-themed headrests, refreshments, accessories, and even the flight attendants will wear Pikachu scarves. Furthermore, the 25th row has a special Pikachu balloon design to celebrate a quarter-century of the franchise.

Pokémon Air Adventures and Anniversary Celebration
This plane is not just a tribute to 25 years of the “Pokémon” series. It is part of Pokémon Air Adventures – a travel campaign for Japan’s tropical Okinawa province, which The Pokémon Company describes as “an initiative started in Japan to create wonderful travel memories.” Throughout the beautiful islands, fans can also find Pikachu-themed buses and train lines.

But wait, there’s more: Starting from July 22, “Pokémon Go” players in Okinawa will also be able to encounter a limited edition Pikachu dressed in Kariyushi attire, a popular summer style in the area. It’s the perfect time for Pokémon trainers to plan some vacation action. Believe it or not, this is not the first “Pokémon” jet. From 1998 to 2016, several themed Poké planes have graced the skies with their cuteness. However, this new aircraft is currently the only one in commercial operation.
