Not only in Vietnam but PES and FIFA also compete on a global scale. However, in the Vietnamese market, this debate is more visible and often showcases the intense rivalry between the two gaming communities. For the past two decades, the question of whether PES or FIFA is the true beloved football game for gamers remains unanswered.

In the 2000s, PES almost dominated all PS2 gaming spots, but since 2017, FIFA has emerged as a dominant name. Starting with FIFA 17, this game has astonished the world with its graphics and realism in every play. PES has continued to challenge its rival until the release of eFootball 2022.

It is not wrong to say that in the past two years, PES has lost its position. Partly due to the pandemic, many gaming spots had to close, eliminating PES’s opportunity to capture the market. Partly because the graphics and gameplay quality of this game have not been as good as before.

Recently, a clip posted on TikTok claimed that “Realism is something PES lacks.” The clip also compared PES with FIFA, asserting that EA’s game performs better and is more realistic. Many rebuttals argued that PES still excels in gameplay compared to FIFA. The immediate question arose: “When comparing gameplay, is PES better in FIFA Online or traditional FIFA?”

With the next-gen versions of FIFA 22 and FIFA 23, many players have found themselves amazed.
Of course, gamers always have their reasons for defending their favorite game. The debate between FIFA and PES will undoubtedly continue indefinitely, unless one of these brands permanently shuts down.
