Recently, the case of disseminating obscene cultural products on Thiên Địa has been tried in a preliminary hearing.
This case has stirred public opinion due to its long-standing existence and the large amount of obscene videos and images disseminated. In Vietnam, this ring operates under the management of Nguyễn Đức Vinh (born 1975, residing in Vinh City, Nghệ An). Vinh is a social security beneficiary due to a severe physical disability.

During the trial of the Thiên Địa case, a particularly notable forum manager
The defendant N.P.N. (born 2002, residing in Long An Province) is considered a quite special case. The male student was arrested while studying at a well-known university. He is the only student among a group of individuals accused of managing and operating a pornographic forum with millions of members. Notably, N. did not receive a single penny in compensation for his criminal activities.

Confession
N. discovered and accessed the “Thiendia” website at the age of 18. The student was fascinated by the section “Doctor 2 Guns – Sex Doctor,” frequently logging in to comment and provide advice on reproductive health and sexuality.
Around August 2021, Nguyễn Đức Vinh proactively contacted N. and invited him to join the management board of the “Thiendia” forum. Here, N. was assigned to manage the sections “Doctor 2 Guns,” “Sex Stories – Adult Stories – XXX Stories,” and “Green House Sex Magazine – Lauxanh Magazine.”
N. participated in management to provide advice and answer questions related to reproductive health, sexual health, and other medical issues for forum members. Additionally, he recruited collaborators, wrote, and posted obscene content in the forum sections while reminding, warning, or banning accounts that posted violations of the rules. Despite handling many tasks, N. “did it out of passion,” repeatedly refusing payment when superiors offered it.

N.’s actions were accused of assisting Nguyễn Đức Vinh in disseminating 9.8GB of obscene content out of a total of nearly 13GB on the “Thiên Địa” forum.
Moreover, even more surprisingly, N.P.N. had achieved many high accolades in provincial and national scientific and technical innovation competitions, receiving certificates of merit from the school, district leaders, provincial leaders, and the provincial youth union. The male defendant was also awarded the title of “Three Good Student.” When asked about his thoughts on participating in the management of the pornographic forum, N. bowed his head and admitted his mistake.
The preliminary trial concluded, with N. receiving a suspended sentence of 21 months, the lowest sentence among the 11 defendants being tried. The other defendants were sentenced to 21 to 48 months in prison for disseminating obscene cultural products.
