Fame always comes with opportunities in terms of work and money for any streamer. However, everything has a downside, and alongside the aforementioned advantages are countless issues, as the lives of streamers can be completely disrupted or, worse, harassed, as in the case of Penguin – a very popular female streamer recently.
Being a character with a large following on her personal channel and always attracting viewers whenever she goes live thanks to her beautiful and charming face, Penguin recently undertook a challenge to walk around a vast area to create new content for her audience. Everything would have been fine if Penguin wasn’t so famous and didn’t attract the attention of passersby. During her journey, the streamer was approached by many people asking to take photos or even giving her gifts. Despite her attempts to decline most of them, unfortunate situations still occurred.
During her livestream challenge, Penguin unexpectedly encountered an obsessed fan, a middle-aged man. Not only did he stick closely to Penguin for the next 20 minutes, but he also continuously demanded that she take photos with him, stand next to him, and even requested that Penguin sing to celebrate his birthday. At this point, the female streamer truly felt uncomfortable. Right on her livestream, she expressed that she felt like she was being treated like a monkey in a zoo. Fortunately, after she declined and walked away, she was no longer harassed.
Penguin’s case clearly highlights the downside of famous female streamers in recent times. The female streamer later had to go live to admit that she had experienced some truly frightening moments and would be more cautious in her future IRL streams.
