TikTok has been embroiled in controversy for several years now. This largely stems from unhealthy content, if not toxic content, which can negatively affect users. Especially younger users, as TikTok has yet to implement measures to ensure age restrictions for its users.

Toxic and obscene trends have long appeared on TikTok, not just recently when users began to complain. The issue is that this platform cannot completely prevent harmful and toxic videos from being produced and spread across TikTok.
Besides the issue of content, a segment of content creators (TikTokers) is also deluding themselves about their own power. Among them, reviewers stand out – those who are making the online community buzz with their statements.

The essence of a reviewer is someone who can express their own feelings; they have the right to praise and criticize. This is something no one can prevent, but igniting “wars” with provocative statements that can stir an entire community, like a certain TikToker recently did, makes it difficult for people to accept.
Not long ago, this male TikToker publicly declared: “Determined to destroy the livelihoods of restaurants at all costs”. Such a statement raised concerns about the “illusory” power in the hands of TikTokers, which can negatively impact those in the food business.

Previously, personalities like Nờ Ô Nô and Cô Gái Có Râu became the center of attention in the online community due to their unacceptable actions and statements on TikTok. There’s no denying that TikTok has made a series of content creators famous, turning them into influential KOLs within the community.
However, it is unfortunate that a segment of TikTokers is overly delusional about this “illusory power” and has created sad stories. Moreover, this particular group of TikTokers has led the public to have an increasingly negative view of TikTok – a self-destructive move from both the platform and a group of content creators on this application.
