According to the police agency, streamer Nguyen Thi Thanh L. (also known as Milona – 26 years old, residing in Hung Dao 2 village, An Vinh commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province) has committed an administrative violation related to “providing and sharing false information, misinformation, distortion, slander, and insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, and the honor and dignity of individuals”.
The monetary fine for this behavior ranges from 5 to 10 million VND. However, the statements made by this female streamer were assessed as having a negative impact on the reputation and image of the Party and State leaders, causing public outrage due to the discriminatory language used… thus she was fined the maximum amount of 10 million VND due to aggravating circumstances, with no mitigating factors.
Previously, on the afternoon of August 25, social media was abuzz with a video related to female streamer Milona during a livestream where she made insulting remarks about a high-ranking leader of the Party and State.
Specifically, during a livestream on Facebook Gaming, this once-popular League of Legends streamer drew attention when she claimed that people with bald heads are so because they watch too many 18+ movies.
After reading an inappropriate comment from a fan about bald people due to watching 18+ movies, instead of ignoring it, this girl casually made unstandard remarks related to high-ranking officials live on air.
The insulting words of L. quickly sparked a strong wave of reactions on social media, disapproving of this female streamer’s disrespectful comments and urging authorities to take action.
After being condemned by the online community, L. returned to her hometown in An Vinh commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province to avoid the “storm of public opinion” until she was summoned by PA03 of the Thai Binh Province Police along with several relevant departments for verification.
During the working process, L. sincerely admitted to her violations and committed to correcting her behavior and not reoffending.
