At the age of this little boy, we probably still…wet the bed occasionally, only thinking about what to eat or what game to play today. Yet, this “other people’s child” solves advanced math problems as easily as eating candy.

There is no shortage of people on YouTube posting content related to teaching, courses, or sharing study experiences. Anyone, from a long-time teacher, a high-achieving boy, or a smart girl can do this. However, if someone told you that there was a 6-year-old child who opened a YouTube channel attracting millions of followers and has the ability to solve university entrance exam math problems, you probably wouldn’t believe it, right?

The YouTube channel of this 6-year-old boy currently has nearly 19 thousand subscribers.

But this is definitely not an April Fool’s joke. Lee Jeong Woo, a 6-year-old boy from South Korea, has opened a YouTube channel named 유딩 이정우 고급수학교실 신비로운 강의 (translated: Lee Jeong Woo’s Advanced Math Lectures) to regularly share with everyone about learning math. The 6-year-old “teacher” often appears in a super cute manner in videos to solve challenging university entrance exam problems as well as reveal formulas and memory tricks to help his older peers enjoy learning math more.

His adorable appearance and fluent, intelligent speech are also among the reasons why his YouTube channel has received so many compliments. Many humorous comments suggest that as long as you know Korean, students don’t need to go anywhere; just diligently watch Lee’s videos to excel in advanced math.

Looking further into it, Lee Jeong Woo is already well-known among many Koreans and around the world when he participated in the annual math competition for university students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – the MIT Integration Bee. Everyone was amazed when Lee completed the exam in just 15 minutes. Additionally, Lee Jeong Woo also participated in the William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition, a college-level math competition in the U.S., and performed smoothly and excellently. From easily solving advanced math problems, Lee Jeong Woo is considered one of the youngest math prodigies in the world.
