Looking back six years ago, one of the most talked-about topics globally was the subscriber race between PewDiePie and T-Series, two famous YouTube channels. With strong support from MrBeast, PewDiePie engaged in a fierce battle, but ultimately fell short against the explosive growth of T-Series. Six years later, that battle continues, but this time MrBeast is on the “front lines,” and the results have taken a completely different turn.

Specifically, since 2022, MrBeast has surpassed his best friend, PewDiePie, to become the individual YouTuber with the most subscribers in the world. But he didn’t stop there; he continued to strive, with the next target being none other than T-Series. After more than two years, this has become a reality. Accordingly, MrBeast has just set another record in his career as his main account has become the most popular YouTube channel on the planet. MrBeast surpassed T-Series last Sunday with 269 million subscribers, and at the moment, that number has risen to 272 million compared to just 266 million for T-Series.

MrBeast himself expressed great excitement about his new achievement and record. Sharing right after surpassing his rival, the YouTuber replied very briefly: “After 6 years, I finally avenged PewDiePie.” Truly, there is no other way to describe MrBeast’s dominance. Six years ago, he was the main sponsor, unafraid to spend millions of dollars to rally subscribers for his friend PewDiePie. And when his friend couldn’t achieve that, MrBeast did it himself with his own YouTube channel.

MrBeast is one of the most famous faces on the planet, although his ambitions are clearly greater than just YouTube. The YouTuber recently signed a $100 million television deal with Amazon and is using his brand to push into areas like snacks. The YouTuber himself has admitted that his long-term goal is to use all the wealth he has accumulated to open hundreds of shelters/food banks for the homeless.
