With the rapid development of technology in recent years, more and more people are becoming professional streamers, playing games and chatting online. It’s not too complicated to embark on this career; anyone can step into it, including a young mother.
A Malaysian mother named Roslinda Embran has successfully balanced her housework and streaming the popular game among the youth, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).

The success story of this mother began when she started live streaming her PUBG Mobile gameplay on Facebook, which served as a stepping stone for her to be officially recognized as a Facebook Gaming Creator. Thanks to this, Roslinda’s income can reach 18,000 Ringgit (approximately 101 million VND). Currently, her fan page under the name MissRose Gaming has reached 106,000 followers.
Roslinda’s journey from an amateur gamer to a professional has faced many challenges. In an interview with Malaysia’s Zayan radio channel, she shared that many people had a preconceived notion that she should focus on taking care of her children and husband, rather than indulging in useless games and neglecting her responsibilities as a housewife.
“Some people told me to return to the kitchen because women know nothing about gaming. But I simply ignored those meaningless remarks and refused to let them ruin my work and life,” she said.

Roslinda started her streaming idea after a family member suggested it, having seen her playing PUBG Mobile all day. Although she began her online gaming career over a year ago, she always listens to advice from her colleagues to improve her skills and interaction with viewers.

Though she is a streamer, this mother does not neglect her responsibilities as a mother and wife. She always strives to balance both roles. Typically, she wakes up early to prepare breakfast for the family and takes her children to school, then returns home to live stream for about 3 hours, does household chores, and streams again. In the evening, the family spends time together, having dinner and relaxing. By 10 PM, Roslinda sits back in front of the screen to continue live streaming.

Although gamers do not receive a positive view in Malaysia, Roslinda still enjoys absolute support from her family. She says that housewives should not depend too much on their husbands; they should have their own income for emergencies.
“The first thing is to be passionate; to reach success, don’t give up halfway. Keep trying, no matter how many times you fail. Don’t be discouraged!” – the female streamer advises those who want to step into the streaming career.
