The “Stunt” Challenge
Two years ago, the Mapo Police Department (South Korea) announced that they were investigating Ah In, a model and influencer on social media, who took to the streets in Hongdae, covered in a cardboard box and inviting men passing by to touch her breasts. A representative from the police department stated that this behavior is inappropriate in public and could result in a one-year prison sentence, with fines up to 5 million won (nearly 100 million VND).

Justifying her alleged indecent actions in public, Ah In stated: “I find it strange that when men take off their shirts in public, it’s considered normal, but when a woman does it, she gets criticized, banned, or even imprisoned. My actions are a challenge to these double standards.”
When asked about strangers’ discomfort with touching her breasts in public, Ah In said she didn’t care: “I am proud of my breasts, my body, and I want to flaunt it. I don’t think being touched on the body should be stigmatized or considered taboo.”
Despite Legal Troubles, Ah In Announced a Fan Meeting Shortly After
The participation fee for the fan meeting was 650,000 won (over 12 million VND), and only the first 30 people to register would get to meet her in person. The event included greetings, photo opportunities, Q&A sessions, and a “Angel Box” segment with a promise of a kiss as a gift.
This announcement immediately stirred controversy on social media. Netizens criticized Ah In for being shameless and challenging the law by holding a fan meeting while under investigation for indecent conduct. Others remarked that the ticket price was too high for someone with a notorious reputation like Ah In.
Despite the severe criticism, tickets for Ah In’s fan meeting sold out within just 30 minutes.
Punishment for Indecent Conduct
Recently, the 2-2 Criminal Appeals Division of the Central District Court of Seoul sentenced her for public indecency to 8 months in prison and 2 years of probation. She must also attend a 40-hour sexual offense prevention course. Previously, her first trial had sentenced her to a fine of 4 million won (over 76 million VND).

Additionally, another defendant, who promoted the act, received a sentence of 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation. A third defendant, who was behind the content idea, was also sentenced to 1 year in prison and 2 years of probation. Both faced higher fines than in the initial trial, amounting to 5 million won and 4 million won, respectively.
Notably, Ah In is also accused of purchasing drugs and is facing another case in the same court.
