Since its emergence, the Mukbang trend has been embraced by numerous YouTubers who have leveraged it to grow their channels.
In a positive light, Mukbang clips are where YouTubers perform gigantic meals, conveying the deliciousness to viewers. However, on the flip side, many YouTubers have been criticized for food waste and editing tricks to create Mukbang clips. And surely, hardly anyone has enough “health” to make Mukbang clips day after day without any physical changes.

Take the case of Nicholas Perry – a YouTuber who is also quite famous for his Mukbang clips.
Since starting, Nicholas has proven his authenticity as his weight steadily increased over time. At his peak, the male YouTuber reached a weight of 171kg, noticeably “plumper” compared to his earlier days. In fact, at times, his condition fluctuated to the point of requiring hospitalization and using a ventilator. Yet even then, Nicholas continued to make his Mukbang clips.

After a while, this guy seemed to vanish from YouTube. Specifically, it was 7 months since his last clip. This led many to question the status of the male YouTuber and express concern for his health. However, surprisingly, just when it seemed everyone had forgotten about him, Nicholas made a spectacular comeback. He returned in a leaner form reminiscent of his past, continuing to make Mukbang clips, but this time focusing on vegetarian meals.

Nicholas stated that he had pre-recorded these videos and had actually started losing weight and adopting a vegetarian diet two years ago. This video of his has garnered over 28 million views and has received immense support for its healthy approach.
