In the DOTA 2 community in Vietnam, Ylli “Garter” Ramadani may not be a well-known name. However, this guy has been involved with DotA since 2007, later transitioning to DOTA 2 and becoming a professional gamer. Throughout his career, this Albanian player has played for 10 different teams and won many championships in the Minor league system.

Garter is also a veteran streamer on Twitch. He boasts an 8k MMR account and ranks in the top 100 of the European server. However, putting all that aside, Garter has decided to leave DOTA 2 to pursue League of Legends.
In a lengthy tweet expressing his thoughts, Garter highlighted all the issues that the DOTA 2 community is facing. This includes the rampant misconduct and the lax management from the higher-ups. Garter cited examples from his own experiences and those of his teammates who were approached by various teams, while their management could do nothing.
The situation is even worse for Tier 2 DOTA 2 teams, as Garter openly criticized many teams for being fraudulent. He believes some teams owe players prize money, promising much but failing to deliver.

Thirdly, Garter devoted much time to specifically criticize the ranking system of DOTA 2. Recent changes have caused a top 100 player like him to lose his official position to another player with only around 4k MMR seeking matches in the same rank. Not to mention the toxic community in ranked matches, which makes it extremely stressful and exhausting for a streamer like Garter.
After all these explanations, Garter decided to dive into League of Legends. His immediate goal is to become a streamer before considering becoming a professional player. Garter has spent a lot of time watching VODs of matches, highlights, guides, and analyzing champion gameplay.

Sharing on Reddit, Garter admitted he is a “die-hard fan” of Yasuo and plans to main Yasuo when he transitions to League of Legends. With these changes, the former professional DOTA 2 player feels excited and hopes to adapt and achieve his set goals.
Recently, amid the wave of controversy between the League of Legends and DOTA 2 communities stirred up by veteran superstars Doublelift and N0tail, Garter’s comments might just add fuel to the fire. Clearly, both games have their own issues, and perhaps a newcomer like Garter is not yet aware of the numerous salary scandal and slave contracts occurring within the top professional League of Legends teams.
Regardless, the choice is ultimately his, and with the spirit of a gamer always wanting to experience new things, hopefully Garter will embrace League of Legends in the most positive way, ensuring he won’t be disappointed with the game.
