Among numerous prominent faces, Takanashi Mizuki, a 23-year-old former gravure model with a size F bust, is becoming one of the most controversial names.
Before becoming a YouTuber, Mizuki was known for her sweet appearance mixed with a hot body, but instead of maintaining her familiar image, she chose a bolder direction.
That is to set up her own YouTube channel, primarily posting videos in the “sexy chef” style – the most shocking being a series of clips where she cooks while only wearing an apron. Specifically, in her latest video, Mizuki wore a light green apron with small floral prints, appearing naturally in front of the camera to chat and perform simple cooking steps. However, with just a few movements or bending down, her voluptuous body continuously shook and even almost fully revealed several times. Although the video has been edited with her cute face images to cover sensitive details, that did not stop viewers from commenting passionately.
Just a few days later, the video quickly climbed to the trending top in Japan, attracting hundreds of thousands of views along with numerous mixed comments. Some netizens expressed their enjoyment, considering it a creative way to make content and please fans. Conversely, many opinions claim that Mizuki has gone too far, deliberately exploiting her body to gain views. Some viewers even bluntly criticized her for losing her artist image, turning her YouTube channel into a platform that exploits sensuality rather than for entertainment. This incident has also sparked widespread debate about the line between content creation and exploiting sensitive elements on online platforms. As YouTube is inherently an open environment, audiences of various ages can access it. Therefore, the choice of a young female artist to adopt this form has raised concerns among many parents that it could negatively impact the youth.
This is not the first time Mizuki has faced criticism. Previously, her cooking videos in sexy outfits garnered massive views, including a clip hitting over 1 million views in a short time. However, along with fame came numerous complaints that her content “lacked artistic value” and merely relied on her physique. Nevertheless, Mizuki remains persistent in pursuing her unique style. She continuously releases more videos with similar scripts, indicating that the channel’s development orientation focuses on seduction. This has caused a sharp divide in the online community: one side sees her as a fresh “viral” phenomenon in the Japanese YouTuber scene, while the other sees it as a decline in online content standards.
