The young woman, known as Broadcast Jockey on the AfreecaTV platform, recently became the center of many discussions. People in South Korea passionately shared their opinions about her recent statements. Specifically, Jockey expressed her feelings of frustration and confusion after viewers reacted harshly to her sexy dancing on her livestream.
“Currently, I earn an average monthly income of over 6.00 million KRW (over 113 million VND). I am trying to increase that number every day. Therefore, I occasionally change my streaming content to dancing to get more donations. Yet, I am viewed negatively by some viewers. Meanwhile, many famous K-Pop stars do not face this issue.”

Jockey’s post received mixed reactions. Some people emphasized that one cannot compare K-Pop idols and a streamer due to the different lengths of training and the harsh nature of the industry.
“They go through many years as trainees, and their efforts take a long time to be recognized”;
“Art and vulgarity are very fragile. You should tone down your dance moves a bit”;
“They perform choreography at large concerts, while you are exposing yourself on your own stream”;
“You compare yourself to celebrities. Even if you earn a lot of money, I really don’t know who you are”…

In response to comments advising her not to compare the streamer profession with that of idols, Jockey disagreed, stating that it is essential for anyone in any field to work hard and strive. There should be no discrimination. Criticism or unreasonable negative bias against streamers is indeed disadvantageous for this group.
