Nguyễn Thành Nam, the owner of the NTN Vlogs channel, is a name that is probably too familiar for those who closely follow YouTube in Vietnam. Despite having a channel with a huge number of views, NTN is also opposed by many for posting clips with inappropriate and annoying content. After the recent controversies, NTN has continued to upload a video titled “Encountering Anti-fans and the Outcome.” According to his sharing, the clip talks about NTN finishing a shoot and then encountering a group of friends sitting and badmouthing him.
While sitting and having a drink, NTN heard whispers from somewhere nearby talking bad about him, so he calmly listened to get a clearer picture of the story. When he confirmed that the group of friends at the next table was indeed criticizing him, the YouTuber proactively stood up and joined their table to talk. The debate during the clip was quite tense, with NTN questioning the group about “why they were speaking ill of him?”, while the anti-fans criticized him as being a “hypocrite”.
Although the argument was heated, neither side was willing to back down, but fortunately, it all remained a verbal dispute and did not escalate into physical confrontation. Perhaps NTN was very cautious because if a “fight” broke out, the other group had more people and he would be at a disadvantage. After being unable to convince the anti-fans, NTN reminded them not to touch others unless someone had touched them first before standing up to leave.
The clip, once uploaded, attracted a large number of viewers and comments, divided into various opinions, with some agreeing with the anti-fans while others opposed and felt that NTN’s words were reasonable.
