Not long ago, a male TikToker publicly declared: “Determined to take down the bowls of rice from restaurants at all costs” visited Sà Bì Chưởng for a review. This description raised concerns for many about the “virtual” power held by TikTokers, which can negatively impact those in the food business.

Immediately, this review video caused a storm on social media and mainstream media. While reviewers have the right to express their opinions, the way this TikToker instigated a war with provocative statements is another story. The outcome of the clip and what happened to this TikToker is well-known, even making it to national television.
Recently, another TikToker with 135 followers also came to review Sà Bì Chưởng. Along with some praise, this TikToker stirred controversy with the somewhat contentious remarks: “The rice grains are too loose, a bit undercooked… Or is this how broken rice is?” and “The pork skin has a bit of a funky smell” concluding with the statement: “For me, this meal is nothing special, spending 89,000 VND doesn’t seem worth it.”

This TikToker’s comments made many TikTok users feel… uneasy. Many even suggested that this TikToker may have never eaten “broken rice” before and lacks the knowledge to review food. However, as mentioned, the right to praise or criticize belongs to each individual, yet it should be within the limits of one’s understanding before passing judgment on something.
