Surely many gamers have experienced having their accounts locked by publishers. For various reasons, most of which are often not disclosed, players have two choices: remain silent or attempt to file a complaint. However, not everyone gets a happy ending in this situation. In fact, many only receive responses from a “chatbot.”
Recently, a “true yet unbelievable” story of a gamer whose account was locked has surprised the community. Specifically, a gamer in Chongqing (China) whose QQ account was locked embarked on a journey from Chongqing to Tencent’s headquarters in Shenzhen (over 1,400 km) on the second day of the Lunar New Year to demand the unlocking of his account.

“I have been using this QQ account since elementary school; it is very important to me!” said the gamer. Although he had sent a request to customer service, his account remained blocked. Ultimately, out of frustration, he chatted with Tencent’s customer service team stating that he would go in person to sort things out.
Finally, his efforts were rewarded when he stepped out of Tencent’s customer service center in Shenzhen and posted the phrase “Long time no see” on his account. After more than six months, his account was unblocked.

Although the cost of this “pilgrimage” was not small, totaling 1,200 yuan (over 4 million VND), this gamer stated that the trip was worth it, even if it fell on the first day of the new year. “I will be more careful so that my account does not get locked again; I don’t want to experience this trip one more time,” shared the gamer.
The online community has praised this gamer for being brave and strong, even if a bit “naive”; in the end, everything turned out successfully. He also did not forget to advise, “This is a personal act; please do not follow suit.”
