Streamers today often have regular streaming sessions, which also serves as an opportunity for both streamers and their fans to effectively share their passion with others. These streams are also a place where people with shared interests can enjoy fun moments together, and even learn more about each other beyond the gaming world.
However, no place is free from negativity, and the streaming world is no different. Sometimes there are clashes between different personalities, conflicts of opinions or lifestyles, and many incidents even lead to unfortunate consequences for the channels involved, resulting in several streamers being banned from going live for various reasons. Below are the most notable cases we can remember.
Dafran’s Conflict with Teammates
Anyone who has played team-based games has likely had at least one conflict with their teammates, and the main reason for this is often due to a teammate’s poor performance. However, while streaming for tons of fans, perhaps no one should show extreme anger and quit the game.
But Dafran seemingly lost his composure when he severely insulted his teammates while playing Overwatch, even stating on stream that he was tired of working with them. “I hate this team, I hate everyone,” he even told one team member to uninstall the game and never play again.
It’s no surprise that Dafran subsequently quit playing Overwatch, and people probably didn’t want to see him stream this game anymore after what he did.
Boneclinks and Trouble with Twitch
During a broadcast, Boneclinks was startled to see his follower count inexplicably drop, until there were no viewers left. As a partner with Twitch, a giant in the online streaming field, Boneclinks felt very confused not receiving any explanation from the platform. This led to direct criticism aimed at Twitch and their policies from him. Clearly, the inability to interact with viewers affected Boneclinks’s income, and it was only natural for him to demand action from Twitch.
After an investigation, Boneclinks was informed that the ban imposed on him was due to his channel using copyrighted material in some videos. Specifically, Boneclinks had violated copyright by using the songs “Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker Jr. and “Africa” by Toto. However, the issue was that Boneclinks never did this; instead, someone wanted to sabotage him and reported his channel.
After numerous attempts to contact Twitch for answers, Boneclinks expressed his frustration with Twitch for not thoroughly investigating the matter, locking his account, and making him feel unimportant despite having signed an exclusive contract with them.
Blondewondie Clashes with Her Viewers
After about two hours of streaming at midnight, Blondewondie complained that she felt frustrated for not having anyone subscribe to her channel. This led one viewer to ask whether she was doing it for passion or just for money. In response to this viewer’s question, Blondewondie replied that “this is a really stupid question,” along with a series of other negative reactions before she ended the stream.
Blondewondie told her viewers that what she does outside of her passion is not enough, as streaming also incurs many other costs for her. Moreover, Blondewondie also promised that such negativity would never happen again, yet she did not receive as much positive feedback as she had hoped.
To be honest, we shouldn’t blame Blondewondie for what she did, as streamers consider this their serious job, and everyone invests a lot of time, money, and effort into it. And of course, no one feels comfortable being asked such rude questions.
