In March 2020, the work of preventing and combating the COVID-19 epidemic continued to be implemented widely with the participation of the entire political system, various sectors, levels, and the whole population. However, the epidemic continues to evolve in a complex and unpredictable manner globally, with the number of cases and deaths rapidly increasing and showing no signs of stopping.
In Vietnam, there were only 16 cases in February, but within just 20 days (from March 6 to March 27), there were 147 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 163. Additionally, there have been instances of infection among healthcare workers, with community transmission emerging, especially in several major cities.
In response to the complex developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Prime Minister has requested the implementation of Covid-19 prevention measures from 0h on March 28, 2020, until the end of April 15, 2020.
