Recently, Sang Vlog – the YouTuber known as the poorest in Vietnam, surprised everyone by announcing that he would temporarily stop his vlog work. This is quite unexpected, as just about a month ago, he proudly shared with his fans the first amount of money he received from YouTube (around nearly 100 million VND).

However, it seems that since gaining fame and receiving much attention, Sang Vlog’s life has no longer been the peaceful days it once was. Specifically, he has faced a lot of criticism, accused of faking poverty to gain views and attract the online community’s attention. It seems that over time, the situation has reached a breaking point.

Just recently, right after reaching the milestone of 2 million subscribers, Sang Vlog announced that he would stop making vlogs. “After today, I will stop making videos for quite a long time. After my wandering trip, my mood has improved a lot. But after that trip, I was talked about even more. I just want to live without competition, without disturbing anyone, but it’s so hard” – Sang Vlog shared.
Additionally, he expressed that he had been demonetized and received a lot of criticism for “exploiting the poverty of the children in the videos to ask for money.” Sang Vlog shared: “As for the kids, many people say that I exploit their poverty to ask for money. Guys, I haven’t asked anyone for anything; I just want to speak out for everyone to understand about them. I don’t receive anything from anyone. I hope people won’t say that“.

In fact, his decision to stop vlogging also stems from the fact that soon, Sang will go on a trip with the families of the children he often films. The destination will be deep in the forest, aiming to explore the mysterious life there. This has led many to think that this YouTuber is coming up with new content ideas. However, Sang Vlog did not set a date to return, and as he said, the time he takes off from vlogging could be several months.

Not long ago, Sang Vlog also had to go “off the grid” for about a week to clear his mind after receiving too much backlash from anti-fans. Currently, it remains to be seen whether he will truly retire or focus on investing heavily in content for his next project.
