Recently, a Twitter account named Nori successfully installed and ran Windows 10 (32-bit) with just 192MB of RAM, which is less than a quarter of the 1GB RAM recommended by Microsoft for this operating system.

Specifically, this 16-year-old member posted a thread and updated the situation each time he reduced the amount of RAM. The version of Windows 10 that Nori used is the 1909 November Update, and it was run on Oracle VM VirtualBox using an ARM processor. Starting with 512MB of RAM, Nori gradually decreased it to 256MB, then 192MB, and all booted into Windows successfully. Only when he reduced it to 128MB did it encounter a blue screen error (BSoD).

Ultimately, the lowest RAM capacity that Nori could use to boot into Windows 10 was 140MB, but it should be noted that with this amount of RAM, the UI interface for login would not function.

This is quite a surprising “achievement,” closely resembling the 128MB RAM recommended for running Windows XP (2001). Nori also conducted several other fun experiments regarding booting different operating systems under quite unusual conditions as mentioned above.
