Increasingly, photo editing software and filters have become sophisticated and officially turned into a sworn enemy of men. Simply put, they are an unbeatable way for girls to suddenly look dazzlingly different up to 90% online. And that is also the source of countless heartbreaks in relationships that have just begun, as the emotions after the first real-life date can hardly be worse. Recently, another “virtual love” story has cracked, just because of the difference between the girl’s real and virtual beauty, which is being shared at lightning speed across the online community.

It was just recently that a young man shared on social media how he was deceived while flirting with a girl online. After having a great conversation, they decided to send each other photos, and upon seeing the girl’s beauty, the young man thought he had found the perfect girl. But when they met in real life, everything turned out to be a dream. While in the photos, the girl radiated personality and beauty, in real life, from her face to her body, everything was notably “plumper” than expected. And if we were to make a comparison, the difference would probably reach up to 90%. This story and the contrasting images even made it to groups and fan pages in Vietnam with the brief caption: “Love online and the ending“.

At this point, most people agree with the young man’s point that the female lead’s beauty has been “hacked” too skillfully online. However, many also feel that the guy is somewhat “petty”, as this matter should be resolved amicably between the two, and there is no need to go online and “cry” to the public. Moreover, many believe that if one has accepted and “dared” to love online, they should also learn to mentally prepare for similar situations, as there are certainly plenty of cautionary tales out there.
