As of now, it has been nearly 3 weeks since the Bphone B86 and Bphone B86s were officially launched for sale by BKAV. What users are most concerned about at this moment is the sales figures of the new generations of Bphone. After the first three generations of Bphone were not very successful, will the Bphone B86 repeat that fate, or will it bring “prosperity” to BKAV?
Recently on Facebook, BKAV CEO Nguyễn Tử Quảng shared relatively positive news, stating that the Bphone B86s “has sold out”, and that “the number of units sold is double compared to the same period last year”. However, as in previous instances, the specific figures regarding the number of units sold remain confidential.

Alongside congratulatory comments, many users expressed skepticism regarding the actual sales of the new Bphone.
“Bphone sold out? That’s hard to believe. They probably only produced a few dozen units” – wrote a member of the Bphone Fans group.
Since the Bphone B86s is a limited edition of the Bphone B86 with 128GB of internal storage, it is not surprising that this device has sold out. Additionally, according to our reference from the BKAV website, only the turquoise version of the Bphone B86s is sold out, while the other three color variants—pink, black, and white—are still available.

Some other users pointed out that the “sold out” situation had previously occurred with most of BKAV’s smartphone models like the Bphone 3 or Bphone 2017. Therefore, this could very well be an “advertising trick” by BKAV to attract public attention.
BKAV has its reasons for doing so, as in July, the Vietnamese smartphone manufacturer will launch two new Bphone models, the B60 and B40. These are scaled-down versions of the Bphone B86 at a lower price, thereby nurturing hopes of expanding BKAV’s market share at home.
