When it comes to the name Kingmax, many Vietnamese gamers are already familiar with it. This is a well-known manufacturer of computer components, particularly affordable RAM and SSD products. Recently, they have launched a noteworthy true wireless headphone, the Kingmax JoyBuds 511.
Packaging and Design

The Kingmax JoyBuds 511 comes in a fairly simple white box, with a clear image of the product along with highlighted features. This headphone is equipped with several remarkable features including: automatic on/off, 2 noise-canceling microphones, IPX7 water resistance, and Qualcomm chip support for aptX.

The charging dock of the Kingmax JoyBuds 511 has a compact, sleek design in glossy black, with the Kingmax logo on the lid, a 4-level battery indicator on the front, and a convenient USB Type C charging port on the back.

Inside, we find the main character – the Kingmax JoyBuds 511, designed to be compact and lightweight with clear left and right markings. They are ‘held’ in the charging dock by magnets, ensuring they do not fall out even when turned upside down, and can only be removed by pulling them out.

It’s worth noting that the Kingmax JoyBuds 511 is very small and lightweight, fitting snugly in the ear without sticking out at all. The feeling when wearing them is genuinely very light and comfortable; if not pressed tightly, it feels almost like… not wearing anything at all.
Features
Although priced at a mid-range level, the Kingmax JoyBuds 511 is equipped with many great features including water resistance, Bluetooth 5.0, aptX decoding, and touch controls…
In actual use, these headphones connect very easily with phones, compatible with both iPhone and Android, and even laptops. The latency of the headphones is relatively low, making music listening perfect, and gaming on mobile is also fine. Of course, you can still feel a slight ‘lag’ compared to wired headphones when playing certain shooting games like COD Mobile and PUBG Mobile, but it’s at an acceptable level!

One minor drawback of the Kingmax JoyBuds 511 is the touch control feature; the manufacturer has ‘stuffed’ too many functions including music playback, volume control, and virtual assistant calling. Therefore, the initial clicks to access each function can be quite… tiring, and it takes a long time to get accustomed to it.
Sound Quality
Coming from a manufacturer considered a ‘newcomer’ in the audio industry, I honestly did not expect much from the sound quality of the Kingmax JoyBuds 511. However, these headphones surprised me.
I must affirm that these headphones deliver very good sound quality for their price range. The sound range is wide, clear, and well-defined, creating an excellent impression for the listener from the very first use.

The high frequencies are decent, and the mids of the Kingmax JoyBuds 511 are truly very good, sweet, and rich, making pop songs sound fantastic. One minor weakness is that these headphones have slightly weak bass, which may not appeal to bass enthusiasts. However, the bass is tight, rich, and not muddy, allowing for prolonged listening without fatigue.
The spatial reproduction of the Kingmax JoyBuds 511 is also quite good, combined with the presence of 2 noise-canceling microphones providing a great gaming experience. Gamers can easily detect enemy movements or communicate with teammates effortlessly.
Battery Life
The Kingmax JoyBuds 511 can run continuously for about 4 hours, and you can use them for an entire session before needing to place them back in the charging dock. The total usage time is claimed to be 26 hours; on average, using them for about 5 hours a day can last nearly a week of work.

Conclusion
The Kingmax JoyBuds 511 offers truly impressive quality for the affordable to mid-range true wireless headphone segment. Just open the lid, connect, and you’re ready to use without needing (nor having) any additional software adjustments.
With a compact design, comfortable fit, good battery life, and decent sound quality, these are strong points of the product. Although there are minor imperfections, at a price of around 1 million VND, the Kingmax JoyBuds 511 is truly a worthwhile true wireless headphone.
