For many, JBL is a well-known brand in the audio world. Recently, they have also ventured into the gaming segment with the new Quantum series. Among them, the JBL Quantum One stands out as the most premium product, providing perfect experiences for gamers.
Unboxing and Design
Throughout JBL’s Quantum product series, the ‘futuristic’ Cyberpunk vibe is clearly expressed, and the JBL Quantum One is no exception. From the packaging, we can easily recognize this style, along with images of the product and a series of high-end features such as Hi-Res audio, DTS decoding, JBL Quantum Sphere 360, and active noise cancellation…

The accessories included with the JBL Quantum One are perfectly balanced, neither excessive nor insufficient. We have a ‘mixer’ table to connect to the PC, allowing you to balance between game audio and voice chat with friends via Discord. There’s a 3.5mm jack cable for console use, and the microphone comes with a rare ‘noise-canceling’ bar. Most notably, there’s a secondary headphone to help you monitor the microphone audio, which is definitely unique. Lastly, there’s a user manual.

Our main character, the JBL Quantum One, clearly still embodies a futuristic design. Compared to the JBL Quantum 400 we previously reviewed, this product appears much more robust, with intricate details from size to shape:

All connection ports and buttons are located on the left ear cup. There are quite a few features, so initially, it can be confusing and take some time to memorize what each button does.
Once connected to the PC via USB with the mixer, the JBL Quantum One lights up. Naturally, this is when it shows off its stunning beauty:

Clearly, the Cyberpunk style is maintained from design to lighting and LED effects. It’s truly hard to find a headset more beautiful than the JBL Quantum One.
Overall, the JBL Quantum One has an incredibly premium design, particularly eye-catching and very user-friendly. Of course, if we nitpick, there are still some minor flaws like exposed wires or that the headset is a bit heavy, but once worn, it remains very comfortable and does not significantly affect the user experience.
Special Features
The JBL Quantum One truly has many features embedded in the headset. Initially, this may confuse users, requiring some time to get used to.
First is the large mixer that also serves as the connection cable to the PC, which allows users to adjust the balance between the main audio (gaming) and communication audio with friends (Discord). Turning it all the way to the left mutes communication, while turning it all the way to the right amplifies it. You can easily adjust it as needed. In practice, it’s quite convenient for eSports or streaming tasks.

Another unique feature that only the JBL Quantum One has is a small headphone specifically for monitoring the microphone audio. Gamers can plug this small headphone into the available 3.5mm port and wear it while taking the main headset off. If previously, you had to enable the monitoring feature in the operating system, now it’s much more convenient with this product!
Additionally, we can find other high-end features such as DTS digital audio decoding, high-quality Hi-Res audio, or active noise cancellation… which greatly enhance the user experience of the JBL Quantum One!
Sound Quality and User Experience
The JBL Quantum One comes from a renowned audio brand, which is why sound quality is one of its main strengths. It must be affirmed that this headset provides a very perfect experience with sound quality that surpasses other brands specializing in gaming.
With music, the product performs exceptionally well with clear sound, a wide soundstage, rounded imaging, and high detail. All three ranges – high, mid, and low – are excellent and can’t be faulted. Notably, the bass is very solid, providing a thrilling experience with hip-hop, EDM…

For gaming, the JBL Quantum One sometimes confuses users with its features; gamers need to adjust the ‘center’ of the sound properly to hear accurately.
Once you get past the adjustment stage, the ‘joy’ is recreated when the sound space is rendered accurately, making shooting games like CS:GO and PUBG extremely enjoyable. You can easily identify footsteps, gunfire, or the direction from which enemy vehicles are approaching!
Especially with JBL Quantum Sphere 360 technology, the headset can self-locate head movement through sensors to reconstruct the sound space as accurately as possible, providing a significant advantage for users in any game.

The software system of the JBL Quantum One is also very special, featuring a futuristic interface. You can easily adjust sound effects, RGB colors, microphone sensitivity…

Conclusion
The JBL Quantum One comes with a rather ‘steep’ price of 5.5 million VND, but it must be said that “you get what you pay for” as it possesses a host of unique features incredibly useful for gamers. Of course, we can’t overlook its outstanding appearance and perfect sound quality.
