Recently, the Daily Mail reported that a female passenger in China was arrested after she punched a plane window at an altitude of 30,000 feet (about 9,100m) above ground. According to initial reports, the girl’s surname is Li, and she was traveling from Tsinghua (Qinghai Province, China) to Yangcheng. What’s notable is that the reason behind her impulsive action was simply heartbreak after breaking up with her boyfriend.

It is known that she had consumed two bottles of Baijiu, each 250ml, before boarding the plane. This type of liquor is made from grains and has a high alcohol content, ranging from 35% to 60%. According to the video recorded, the girl was crying loudly and seemed distressed, resulting in her losing control and repeatedly punching the window next to her seat despite several flight attendants trying to console her. What’s even more shocking is that due to her frustration or perhaps the force of her punches, she cracked the airplane window. This led the captain to decide on an emergency landing to ensure the safety of all passengers.

Fortunately, the airplane landed safely afterward, and no one was injured. However, the outcome for the girl is not so favorable, as this hot-tempered passenger has been charged with creating a dangerous disturbance to public transportation and may face a prison sentence ranging from 3 to 10 years.
