Many people believe that “passing gas” is a relatively rude and impolite act; however, few understand that it is a natural physiological mechanism of the human body and a necessary action to ensure health. Of course, the assessment of the level of “rudeness” of this act depends on various factors, such as the context and environment… Recently, just for passing gas at the wrong time and place, accompanied by an arrogant attitude, a guy faced a bitter fine of 13 million VND.

Specifically, the incident that has stirred up social media recently occurred in Austria, in the capital Vienna on June 5, but was only recently shared by the police on Twitter. According to reports, for reasons unknown, the guy in the story was unexpectedly approached by the police in a park. Not only did he fail to behave politely, but the main character in this story also acted rudely, provocatively standing on the park bench and intentionally passing gas loudly in front of the police officers.
Naturally, a swift and decisive fine was issued. Accordingly, the man was charged with “violating public decency” and for being uncooperative with the police in a prior incident, receiving a fine ticket of up to 500 euros (approximately 13 million VND) for his rude behavior.

Of course, no one would be fined for passing gas if it were accidental or occurred in a different context. However, openly provoking with such an act is a completely different story.
