If you’re a gamer, you have to know a bit about technology, and of course, the richer you are, the more limited your knowledge becomes. You might think it’s the opposite, but you’re wrong; rich gamers only care about the “best”. So instead of researching and optimizing, they just throw money at getting the most powerful PC or the most expensive mouse. While their friends are discussing tech and sharing tips, the rich gamer knows nothing beyond RTX and i7. So, while everyone is deep in tech talk, the privileged gamer just sits there listening, feeling left out, and sad because no one is talking to them.
SSD SO FAST YOU CAN’T ACCESS BIOS
For rich gamers, accessing BIOS is a skill. Specifically, they always use the top-tier SSDs, which can load Windows in just 2 seconds. This 2 seconds includes booting Windows and the motherboard, so you have about 0.5 seconds to hit F2. It’s a double-edged sword; the joy of booting into Windows as quickly as flipping on your phone and the struggle of wanting to tweak BIOS settings but having to contort your body to get it done.
MECHANICAL KEYS TOO LOUD
But hitting F2 too often leads to another problem: mechanical keyboards are very loud. Whether you use Red switches or Brown switches, mechanical keys are still noisy. And noise? It disturbs those around you, disrupts the peace during a quiet night, and most importantly, affects your parents’ sleep. Playing games on a mechanical keyboard in the middle of the night while trying to be quiet? Good luck with that.
RGB LIGHTS BLINDING AT NIGHT MAKING IT HARD TO SLEEP
RGB is an essential decoration for any gaming corner, but if you’ve ever owned an RGB PC that’s blinding, you’ll understand the problem I’m talking about. Gaming with a high-end RGB setup is indeed enjoyable, but the excessive LED light can distract you, cause headaches, or even make it hard to sleep. Sometimes you have to dive into BIOS to turn down the RGB lights, but that brings us back to the SSD issue; accessing BIOS can be tricky.
SCREEN TOO BRIGHT FOR YOUR EYES
The top-tier screens that rich gamers often choose can reach a brightness of up to 1000 nits. A regular screen only has about 300-400 nits; 1000 nits can be quite overwhelming. Sometimes, having it turned all the way up at night without adjusting can feel like a blinding beam piercing through your heart, eyes, face, and nose, leaving the rich gamer wondering why they need such a bright monitor.

Gaming mice are definitely the first investment for all gamers worldwide. However, accidentally hitting the DPI switch mid-game and sliding your mouse a meter is a feeling that’s hard to describe for those who own high-end mice. Having a mouse with a DPI in the five-digit range doesn’t help much when you’re always using a mouse pad, and setting the DPI to just a few thousand or even a few hundred makes you feel like you spent a lot of money on things you don’t need. Rich gamers sometimes regret spending money too.
NOISE-CANCELLING HEADPHONES TOO GOOD, CAN’T HEAR PARENTS CALLING
While gaming, you hear your mom calling, but not really; it’s more like a distant echo in your ears. You might think it’s your imagination, but then you realize she comes up and scolds you for not hearing her call. This scenario is something any gamer with active noise-cancelling headphones can relate to, and of course, you end up getting a good scolding.
LOADING GAMES SO FAST CAN’T READ THE TIPS
Back to that speedy SSD; before getting ganked due to my headphones, I was loading a game and watching a cinematic. I saw a pretty interesting tip during the load and focused on reading it, only to be interrupted by my mom coming in to gank me. When I turned to look at her and turned back, the game was already in session, and I hadn’t read the tip. Not only did I miss an important tip, but I also lost an opportunity to become a better gamer. Is there any way to slow down the SSD?
GAMING CHAIR SO COMFORTABLE YOU FALL ASLEEP EASILY
Gaming on a gaming chair has its downsides too; sometimes while waiting for a match or for teammates to pick, you might lean back and get too comfortable. Many times, this leads to falling asleep, and on a tiring day, you might sleep right through. On normal days, you get up feeling exhausted, and the drowsiness makes it hard to focus on gaming. My chair is super comfy and spacious, so when you lean back and the air conditioning is on, you might just doze off. For those with spacious homes using fancy Noble chairs, maybe they don’t even need a bed at all.
CARRYING A GAMING LAPTOP TO A CAFE, EVERYONE LOOKING FOR THE BEST SPOT, I’M JUST LOOKING FOR A POWER OUTLET
After getting ganked by my mom, the rich gamer decided to take the gaming laptop to a café for a refreshing change and to relax after the frustration. After neatly organizing everything, I arrived at a café that looked quite nice based on my online search. While standing in line to buy a drink, I spotted a few good spots to sit, but when I got my drink, I realized… there were no power outlets. So I had to wander around looking for a power outlet to plug in for my gaming session, and in the end, I found one but had to sit in a cramped corner. While everyone else was sitting in nice spots, I was stuck playing in a corner, which felt no different than being at home. The rich buy laptops to game outside, but when they do, it feels just like home, cramped and lonely.
