A man, panicking after losing a bag containing drugs worth 1 billion dong, decided to call the police for help.
Darren Barnwell lost his belongings during a train journey from Dublin to Cork. After getting off the train, he was horrified to find that the bag containing drugs worth £36,256 (approximately over 1 billion dong) had disappeared. Despite pleading with station staff, Darren was not allowed back on the train to retrieve his belongings.
Desperate, he picked up the phone to call for help from the authorities.

“We received reports of a man causing a disturbance with security staff at the station around 2 PM. He later called to report that he had lost a bag at a shop on MacCurtain Street,” Officer O’Sullivan said.
Authorities then arrived at the shop to assist Darren Barnwell in finding his belongings and subsequently discovered a large quantity of cocaine, estimated to be worth over 1 billion dong in that bag.

When arrested by the police, Darren Barnwell admitted to transporting cocaine from the city of Dublin. However, he denied that the package belonged to him and claimed he was only transporting it for someone else.
Commenting on the nature of the case, the judge noted that having no prior criminal record helped Darren receive a suspended sentence. Barnwell was sentenced by the court to 4 years on probation for charges of transporting and possessing drugs.
