On December 12, the ETToday website reported that to test her boyfriend’s love, a girl with the surname La from Nansong Town, Sichuan Province (China) executed a crazy plan. She asked her best friend to tie her to a tree in a remote forest on the mountain. Afterwards, that friend would impersonate a kidnapper demanding a ransom from La’s boyfriend.
The most surprising thing was that right after her friend left the forest, La began to feel scared and worried that she would encounter a real kidnapper, so she started screaming for help.
According to Chinese media, at 11 PM on November 26, the police received a report from a man with the surname Liu, who had received a call from a stranger demanding a ransom of 50,000 RMB (over 176 million VND) to release his girlfriend, La. Although quite tense, Liu decided to report to the police.
While the police were planning to investigate and trace La’s last whereabouts, they received a report from local residents. One resident stated that they had heard a woman’s cries for help in a nearby forest.
The police immediately connected this to the kidnapping reported by Liu earlier, so they quickly sent people up the mountain to search for the victim and eventually successfully rescued La, who was tied to a tree.
However, when asked about the characteristics of the kidnapper, La only uttered nonsensical and inconsistent phrases. Initially, the police thought La was just too frightened, but the truth ended up shocking both the police and Liu.
It turned out that the entire kidnapping was La’s plan, aimed at testing her boyfriend’s love. To make everything more realistic, La decided to carry out the plan in a remote mountainous area and handed her phone to her best friend to extort money from her boyfriend.
However, the plan encountered unexpected issues. While La was tied to the tree and alone in the desolate forest, she began to panic, fearing she would encounter a real gang. Additionally, the cold night in the forest made her feel even more frightened. Therefore, she cried and screamed for help loudly.
Currently, La and her best friend have been temporarily detained by the police for disturbing public order.
