Cursing on Livestream
Recently, she became the center of criticism when, during a stream on December 29, a viewer made a comment about the appearance of Diệp Anh – her friend. MisThy responded sharply, using language that was quite harsh and somewhat vulgar, lacking civility.
It’s important to note that MisThy is a prominent figure with significant influence over the youth, many of whom are still in school. The incident, which sparked outrage on social media, has left parents very concerned.
The use of vulgar language by streamers, whether intentional or not, can negatively impact the perceptions and thoughts of young people.
This incident with MisThy reminds us of Độ Mixi. When criticized by VTV for using vulgar language during his livestreams, he addressed the issue positively by admitting his mistakes and thanking for the reminder.
However, in stark contrast to Độ Mixi, MisThy has not addressed the recent cursing scandal, and instead, in her latest post, she shared a picture looking exhausted with the caption: “So exhausted.”
Mentioning Sơn Tùng M-TP to Gain Fame
In another drama in 2019, she annoyed the online community, particularly Sơn Tùng’s fans, by posting a family photo on social media, mentioning Sơn Tùng M-TP even though it was irrelevant.
“My mom asked: Thy, Sơn Tùng gets 90 thousand likes for his family photo. Why don’t you post ours? Thy: He’s Sơn Tùng, of course, he gets 90k likes, how can I?”
This immediately drew a wave of backlash from netizens. Even though she clarified that her mom is a die-hard Sky fan, most netizens still felt she was trying to “gain fame” from the singer.
Criticized for Lack of Knowledge on a Game Show
During the semifinal of the game show Nhanh như chớp, aired on the night of October 10, 2019, MisThy disappointed everyone by struggling to answer just two questions correctly in a row. She was also criticized by netizens for being “lacking knowledge” and providing somewhat silly answers.
The peak of her struggle came when she was asked: “Referring to the case of the Lệ Chi garden, which national hero is mentioned?” She answered: “Võ Thị Sáu.” Clearly, the questions in the show were not too difficult and were part of the knowledge she should have learned in school, yet she still answered incorrectly.
Rude Response During Sex Tape Scandal
Also at the end of 2019, specifically on the morning of December 20, 2019, MisThy suddenly found herself embroiled in a scandal involving a leaked intimate video. A Facebook account teased a clip with the content: “Come watch Clip xxx Misthy Full.”
Shortly after, it was revealed that the girl in the leaked clip was not MisThy. While everyone knew this was just a rumor, a sensational tactic to attract views and interactions on Facebook, MisThy’s defensive reaction was entirely justified. However, her rather provocative comments, which received over 500 likes, were not appropriate for someone with her influence over the youth.
It can be seen that recently, MisThy has frequently stirred controversy with her somewhat crude way of speaking. While this style makes her seem more relatable and friendly to her fans, it remains a not-so-positive influence on her audience.
