Russian media reported that on February 1st, a 60-year-old man named Yuri Dushechkin suddenly died while live streaming on YouTube.
The cause of death is believed to be due to the middle-aged vlogger consuming 1.5 liters of vodka during the live stream. This was a request made by a viewer for Mr. Yuri. After completing the challenge, the live streamer would receive donations.
Moments after consuming the large amount of alcohol, the man suddenly collapsed to the ground. The live stream continued, so viewers witnessed the final moments of this vlogger. Many were bewildered and unsure of what happened at that moment.

Yuri Dushechkin used the nickname “Grandpa” to interact with his viewers. The horrifying live stream was broadcast on the YouTube channel of a friend named Zheka, which had 25,000 followers. When contacted by reporters about the incident, Zheka declined to comment.
This unfortunate event has immediately raised warnings about the disturbing trend of live streaming content that disregards everything for views and donations by vloggers. The aforementioned YouTube channel also features numerous other videos where money is given to homeless individuals to engage in violent and dangerous acts.
Back in December 2020, a similar terrifying incident occurred among Russian YouTubers. A vlogger named Stanislav Reshetnikov forced his pregnant girlfriend to wear lingerie and go out on the balcony of their apartment despite the freezing temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius. The girl subsequently died during the live stream due to sudden hypothermia.

In response to the wave of public outrage, Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov has spoken out about considering the implementation of regulations and laws to ban live stream content that contains violent, deviant, unethical, and illegal elements.
