Famous in the gaming community for her stunning looks and cheerful personality, female streamer and YouTuber Sandy (real name Hứa Vân San) recently shocked her fans by revealing that she almost fell victim to a scam, nearly losing 20 million VND due to a ploy pretending to “save grandma.”
The story was shared by her in an anti-fraud video on social media.

According to her account, during her time on social media, the female streamer became acquainted with a man online, who appeared dignified, was very charming, and always knew how to win her over.
The two often chatted, shared personal stories, and created a sense of intimacy and trust between them. However, just about a month after getting to know each other, this person suddenly messaged Sandy in a desperate tone, claiming that his grandmother had been in a traffic accident and was in urgent need of around 20 million VND to cover hospital expenses.
Initially, the beautiful streamer felt sympathy and considered helping him out. However, an uneasy feeling made her hesitate, and she claimed she didn’t have enough money. Nevertheless, the man wouldn’t give up, pleading earnestly and even crying, begging Sandy to borrow money from friends or family to help him in his crisis.

“At that moment, I really started to waver, feeling sorry for him because I thought maybe it was true,” Sandy recalled. Fortunately, her family and friends timely discovered the situation and advised her not to send any money, suspecting it was a premeditated scam. When Sandy informed him she could not help, the man immediately turned hostile, cursing and blocking her contact, revealing his true face. Sandy’s experience is not unique; statistics show that common online scams today include investment impersonation, online shopping fraud, impersonating acquaintances, and especially “financial romance” scams online.

Sandy’s story serves as a valuable reminder: in the virtual world, a moment of weakness can cost you dearly, potentially your hard-earned money and tears.
