On the morning of March 11, in a statement to the press, Mr. Le Quang Tu Do – Deputy Director of the Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that the agency has requested TikTok and YouTube to remove content violating regulations related to the posting of superstitious content on channels managed by Tho Nguyen.
Mr. Do stated that TikTok has removed the content and temporarily suspended this channel. A representative from TikTok also shared that due to the large number of followers of Tho Nguyen’s YouTube channel, even though it was newly opened, within just 3 days, Tho Nguyen’s TikTok page attracted a massive following.

Regarding YouTube, the Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information has also sent a request and reported to block videos with inappropriate content.
According to Mr. Do, just yesterday, the Department coordinated with the unit from the Ministry of Public Security’s Political Security Department to find the address and phone number of Tho Nguyen to invite her for a meeting due to signs of promoting superstitious beliefs through her channels; however, Tho Nguyen has not responded yet.
On the resolution direction in this case, the Deputy Director stated that if Tho Nguyen does not cooperate with the authorities or intentionally ignores contact, further measures will be taken.
Specifically, Mr. Do confirmed that the Department will propose Google to block the channel and temporarily suspend the account, and Google also supports blocking channels that promote superstitious content.
He added that the Ministry of Information and Communications, along with the Ministry of Public Security, has dealt with nearly 1,000 cases of spreading false information. Therefore, even though YouTubers operate independently and are not registered, state management agencies can still monitor and handle violations if any occur.
From the user’s perspective, the head of the Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information advised parents to filter information so that their children stay away from inappropriate content.
